Humpty Dumpty Foundation

For more than 30 years the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, founded by Paul Francis OAM, Patron Ray Martin AM, has been helping hospitals and health services care for children by providing much needed medical equipment and initiatives that improve health outcomes. Humpty provides a Wish List giving donors complete choice of the kind and location of their support. To date, Humpty has provided medical equipment to paediatric wards, neonatal units, and maternity and emergency departments for around 500 hospitals across Australia.

The Girgensohn Foundation chose to provide funds for the acquisition of a Biologic X Pro Hearing Module for the Nowra Community Health Centre, Audiology. Otoacoustic emission (OAE) assessment is an important part of paediatric audiology providing information about a child’s hearing ability at an early age. This equipment will also significantly reduce undiagnosed or delayed diagnosis of hearing loss potentially affecting children  who require grommet surgery after middle ear disease.
